THE CHALLENGE

1. Difficulty in Selecting and Scheduling Garden Services: Users often face challenges in choosing appropriate gardening services tailored to their needs, such as lawn care, pruning, or seasonal planting. The lack of a streamlined selection and scheduling system can lead to confusion and delays.

2. Limited Knowledge of Gardening Needs and Services: Many users may lack an understanding of the specific services their garden requires, resulting in difficulty identifying suitable gardeners or requesting relevant services.

3. Lack of User-Friendly Navigation and Interface: A simplified, intuitive design is needed to ensure that users can effortlessly browse gardener profiles, select services, and complete booking processes without friction.

 MARKET NEED

A gap exists in the market for a dedicated platform that connects gardeners with potential clients. Currently, garden maintenance services are often solicited through generalist platforms or traditional methods, which do not cater specifically to the needs of gardeners and their clientele. A specialized application can provide a targeted solution, improving the efficiency and satisfaction of both parties.

PROPOSED SOLUTION

Proposed solution #1

Intuitive, User-Friendly Interface

Developed a visually appealing and easy-to-navigate app interface, minimizing user friction and enhancing overall usability.

Line 182.png

Having distinct main page states for gardeners and customers creates a tailored experience for each user group. This approach enhances usability by presenting relevant features and information specific to their needs.

Dashboard for Customer

Line 182.png

For customers, it simplifies the process of finding, hiring, and communicating with gardeners, making the platform more intuitive and efficient for all users.

Proposed solution #2

Transparent and Trustworthy Profiles

Incorporated comprehensive gardener profiles with user reviews and service descriptions, building trust and confidence for users in selecting the right provider.

Gardener Profile Page (as seen by the customer)

Line 182.png

The platform enables customers to easily find the right gardener by providing essential details such as work experience, completed projects, ratings, and relevant tags (e.g., tools, skills, languages). These features enhance the search process, ensuring users can quickly identify specialists that match their needs.

Line 182.png

The section also improves transparency by displaying service fees (if provided by gardener), helping customers make informed decisions.

Line 182.png

Additionally, the project gallery and client reviews offer a clear visual representation of the gardener's work, building trust and confidence in their expertise.

Proposed solution #3

Seamless Service Selection and Booking

Designed an intuitive user flow within the app, allowing users to effortlessly browse, select, and book gardening services, creating a streamlined booking experience.

Order Form: Step-by-Step Process

Line 182.png

The first step of the order form streamlines the process by collecting essential details to define the project clearly. By allowing users to select previously created tasks, it saves time and enhances efficiency for returning users.

Step one: General information

Line 182.png

Mandatory fields, such as the project title and description, ensure that key information is provided upfront, reducing back-and-forth communication. The option to upload up to five photographs further clarifies the project's scope, minimizing misunderstandings and helping the service provider deliver accurate results.

Line 182.png

Additionally, users can upload up to five photographs to provide a clearer understanding of the scope of work.

Step Two: Address Entry for Work Execution

Line 182.png

This step ensures accurate and efficient communication by collecting the exact location for work execution. The mandatory address field guarantees that critical location details are not overlooked, reducing the risk of errors or delays.

Line 182.png

The Google Maps-powered autocomplete simplifies input, while the option to reuse previous addresses enhances convenience for repeat users, saving time and effort.

Step Three: Date and Time Selection

Line 182.png

This step offers flexible scheduling with two options: single visits and recurring engagements.

Line 182.png

Single Visit: A date and time picker ensures precise scheduling for one-time meetings

Group 1261162180.png
Line 182.png

Recurring Visits: Users can easily set long-term schedules with start and end dates, select preferred days, and choose from available time slots.

Line 182.png

Frequency options (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) provide further customization, making the scheduling process efficient and adaptable to user needs.

111.png

Step Four: Budget Selection

Line 182.png

This step empowers users by allowing them to propose a payment amount, fostering transparency and flexibility.

Line 182.png

Providing the gardener's price list (if available) helps users make informed decisions, ensuring their budget aligns with the gardener’s expectations. This feature minimizes misunderstandings, enhances communication, and supports fair and efficient negotiations.

Payment Integration: A secure, in-app payment system simplifies transactions, ensuring gardeners are paid promptly and customers can easily make payments.

Step Five: Confirmation of Submitted Data

Line 182.png

This step ensures accuracy by allowing users to review all entered information before submission, reducing errors. The order's validation process, requiring gardener agreement on terms and budget, promotes mutual understanding and trust.

Line 182.png

The option to make the order visible to other gardeners streamlines the search process, increasing the chances of finding the right professional quickly and efficiently.

Line 182.png

This feature saves users time and expands their options for completing the project successfully.

Successful Screen

Line 182.png

We use a success screen at the end of a flow to let users know they’ve successfully completed a task with information to the user about further actions, as well as a function to contact the gardener to clarify the necessary details.

Proposed solution #4

App-Optimized Experience

Ensured the app is fully optimized for seamless functionality on various mobile devices, allowing users to access and book services conveniently on the go.
